Dashboard Confessional Chicago Concert reviews
It was one hell of an experience
As soon as I saw an awesome event was coming to Jersey, I hopped on the chance to go. I had never actually invested to go and see a Dashboard Confessional event, even though I've been a fan for about 5 years now. It was the closest event to PA that was announced so I had to go for it and I'm glad I did. On TV most people I'd say are fine skipping the prelims, but being there, it was totally worth being there for all 11 fights on the card. The crowd was a lot of fun, and very intelligent to the sport itself so everyone showed a great deal of respect when it was called for. The atmosphere was amazing, and even the prelim fights were exciting. If you're a fan of the UFC, and a card comes close to you that you like, you absolutely have to go. Its an experience of a lifetime.
bittersweet notes of angst and storytelling sincerity
The show was definately one I will never forget! I sat in the High Society bar imbibing a pre-show cocktail waiting on a friend that after 26 yrs of friendship choose to ghost me on our 4 month planned in advance night out. I being me accepted this as a severing of ties and found my way to a single open balcony seat. Onward and Upward always. I listened intently and was pleasantly thrilled to hear all the songs. I had forgotten about this band. I dusted off a CD of Dash that I had from the 2000's and started youtubing there newer stuff. It was all so fitting/ surreal for what had just happened. St. Andrew's is a great small venue to see a show! Carrabba's vocals and acoustics were spot on. I danced, sang, and let the energy envelop me. My timing was impecable...I inched my way from the balcony ,blazed my own trail, and ended the show at the front of the stage. Took home a Chris Kamarada, drumstick.(A Vic Firth American Classic 5B) My name is Vicki, so that was a perfect sign the universe offered that I was meant to travel this gig solo and that being steadfast/strong and letting the music guide me will always take one such as myself to higher positive plateau!
